Description :
The Audio Note Soro SE is a full function tube integrated line amplifier that offers more than a glimpse of the "high end", but encased in a classic user-friendly package. It is a superbly built amplfier that looks classy, yet understated. The amplifier comes with nice gold knobs on an acrylic fascia. It is a Class A single-ended line only 18 watt per channel integrated amplifier, with 4 inputs & tape loop. Unlike most other tube amplifiers on the market at the moment, the Audio Note Soro SE does not display its tubes for all to see - everything is concealed within the amplifier's case.


For a tube amplifier, the bass is surprising strong, being lean and tight. This could be attributed to the Amperex 6L6G. The Audio Note Soro SE also sounds very good with acoustic music, giving a very detailed and musical sound. Female vocals come on as very involving; on the mid range it is warm although not as lush. On heavier music like pop and rock, the music sounds brittle and slightly flat. It is not recommend to use the Audio Note Soro SE for pop and rock due to its limited 18 watts per channel rating. It should be paired with an efficient speakers with sensitivity of at least 89dB in order to play it loud.
