Tannoy Monitor Royal – HPD Dual Concentric Royal Blue 15/85
This is an extremely rare pair of Tannoy Monitor Royal. They are basically identical to the HPD 385 15” Dual Concentric Monitor but this is the special version made for Canada. This variation of the HPDs also comes with the blue magnet cover which makes them very hard to find. They were professionally refoamed a year ago by a specialist with original tannoy foam and for their age, I can say they are in mint condition.
I am selling these Tannoys without the crossovers. For around 150$, you can have brand new crossover parts from Solen (www.solen.ca) and that would perform way better than the original ones with the switches on it.
I did listen to them and although they were in low quality cabinets, they simply sound amazing. I can give those cabinets away but I will not ship them since they are simply too huge but you can come and pick them up.
It is a true heartbreak selling these awesome drivers but my wife hates to see all of these speakers everywhere in the house. I am moving on to a different project so hopefully someone will get them and enjoy them more than I do, they really deserve to be listened to.
